History: Special ordered by a customer in Ohio. Second owner purchased the car from a local used car lot when he was stationed at Treasure Island Navel base in San Francisco bay. When the owner was discharged from the Navy he moved to Denver Colorado were the car was taken off the road after hitting some black ice and damaging the driver front fender. The second owner kept it for many years without repairing the damage and then eventually sold it. It then passed through an unknown amount of owners before I purchased it in Loveland Colorado. The vintage pictures show the car with its third paint job and a couple of different type of rims (1974-76). When we sanded down the car we found it was repainted twice, gold then black again. Why was it painted gold then black again before 1974? I have no idea. Although it had been painted a few times it still had the reflective gold GT stripes inside the doors and fenders and they didn't paint over the door data plate. I tracked down the owner of the car from 1974-1979 and he kindly provided me some Polaroid’s he luckily still had.
